Our Staff Reporter adds in Guwahati: APCC president Anjan Dutta has welcomed the verdict of the people in the TAC polls.

In a statement, Dutta said the results of the elections have clearly shown that the people of the TAC areas have rejected the BJP for its deceitful activities like effecting a cut of over 37 per cent in the allocations for welfare of the tribal people.

Dutta expressed the hope that the people of the State would be able to take the right decision in the ensuing Assembly elections by correctly and impartially analysing the ground realities.
