Cong will form Govt with UPP: UG Brahma

KOKRAJHAR, April 23 - The Congress will form the next Government at Dispur with the support of the UPP after May 19, claimed UPP president UG Brahma on Thursday.

Talking to media persons here at Amala Bhawan here, Brahma maintained that the UPP would win eight seats and the Congress would get 55 seats. After an assessment made in a Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting of the UPP, it became clear that the UPP would bag eight seats, Brahma said. He added that the Hagrama Mohilary-led BPF would draw a blank in the BTAD.

It may be mentioned here that the CWC meeting of the UPP held yesterday was chaired by the UPP president. UPP general secretary Pradip Kumar Daimary and other senior leaders and contesting candidates also attended the meeting. The UPP also thanked the district administration and the Election Commission for holding free and fair elections in the district.
