Cong hobnobbing with AIUDF: Amit Shah

By Correspondents

MIRZA, April 5 - BJP national president Amit Shah said that the Congress party was hobnobbing with the AIUDF and the Congress was only waging a fake verbal battle with AIUDF in a bid to get support from it for formation of the next Government in Assam.

BJP will never support the Badruddin Ajmal-led AIUDF, but would instead prefer to sit in the Opposition for 50 years, said Amit Shah today at a BJP rally in Mirza (Palasbari LAC) in Kamrup district.

Shah alleged that the Congress Government in Assam was protecting the illegal Bangladeshis in the interest of votebank politics. He added that if the BJP is voted to power, it will seal the entire Assam-Bangladesh border for preventing further infiltration of Bangladeshis into Assam.

Nalbari: Addressing a party rally at the Nalbari College field here today, Shah exuded confidence that the massive, voter turnout in the Assam Assembly on April 4 pointed towards no return of the Congress government here. He therefore appealed to the voters to give their mandate in favour of the BJP-AGP combine during the second phase of election for bringing change to the State.

Mangaldai: Addressing an election rally at Bhabarghat here today, Shah lambasted at Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and his Congress-led Government in the State for crossing all limits of corruption and anomalies during its 15-year rule.

Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has been ranked first for his role in largescale corruption and hence should be conferred the Bhrastachar Shiromoni award. He also seems to be tired, so the people of the State should elect a young and dynamic person like Sarbananda Sonowal in order to usher a total change with the motto Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikash.
