GUWAHATI, April 14 - The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) on Saturday lodged a complaint with the Election Commission of India (ECI).

It was alleged that news channel News Live telecast a meeting of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders, held in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, at Kendukona in the States Kamrup district, during the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections on April 11.

This was done to influence the voters in violation of the model code of conduct, said the APCC, pleading for appropriate measures against the news channel.
