Cong attacks �misrule� of NPF-led DAN

DIMAPUR, Feb 17 � The Nagaland Congress today lashed out at the NPF-led DAN Government accusing it of fooling the people and alleging its involvement in various corrupt activities.

Addressing an election rally at Pfutsero for the five Congress candidates under Phek district, former Deputy Chief Minister IK Sema accused the DAN Government of siphoning off all the funds meant for the welfare of the people of the State, including Integrated Child Development Programme, Janani Suraksha Yojana, NRHM, etc.

On the Congress party putting up Kevise Segotsu to fight Rio, Sema admitted that there is no possibility for their candidate to win but maintained that their candidate was standing to expose the misrule of Rio during the last 20 years that he has been representing the constituency.

AICC general secretary in charge of Nagaland, Dr Jay Kumar, assured the Naga people that the Congress would make all efforts to provide basic requirements of the people like � health, water, power and roads and that it will also leave no stone unturned in implementing the 16 flagship programmes of the Congress-led UPA Government.

He also lashed out at the NPF-led DAN Government accusing it of total misuse of Central funds allocated for the State.

The Congress secretary also alleged that regionalism was destroying democracy in Nagaland and in the country, adding that regional parties can only prosper by destroying the fabric of democratic norms. He said regionalism had taken Naga people backward when the world is talking of global village.
