GUWAHATI, July 31 - A compilation of articles written on late Dhyanada Charan Sharma, his own published articles and his interviews with various media organisations, was released by RS Mooshahary, former Meghalaya Governor, at Laban Namghar in Shillong on July 27, a press release received here stated. Sanbor Shullai, MLA of South Shillong, Paresh Phookan, retired Additional Director of Agriculture, Government of Assam, and Bhaskar Boruah, former Secretary, Government of India, were also present on the occasion.
Late Sharma was a multifaceted personality who was actively associated with several socio-cultural organisations in Shillong. He passed away on March 25, 2018.
Mooshahary, who was the chief guest in the book release function, stated that late Sharma had great qualities of humility and faithfulness, and was knowledgeable in all spheres.
Dr Siddhartha Sharma, eldest son of late Sharma, welcomed the guests. Bhaskar Boruah, in his speech, shared some memorable encounters with late Sharma, who happened to be his cousin. Paresh Phookan stated how late Sharma, his brother-in-law, faced all challenges in life with a smiling face.
MLA Sanbor Shullai mentioned late Sharma�s contributions to the society at large. Shullai added that late Sharma�s bust would be installed in his constituency soon as a mark of respect.
Swaroop Sharma, youngest son of late Sharma, offered the vote of thanks.
