GUWAHATI, Oct 27 - The Dr Bhupen Hazarika Foundation (BHF), in collaboration with Care Luit and Pragjyoti Communications, is organising a national discussion forum on November 5 at the India Islamic Cultural Centre Auditorium, New Delhi, to commemorate the fourth death anniversary of the music maestro.
Two topics will be discussed in the forum to highlight the contributions of Dr Hazarika, stated a press release.
The topic of the first session will be �Life, works and creativity of Dr Bhupen Hazarika,� while the topic of the second session will be �Peace and conflict in India and the role of Dr Bhupen Hazarika.�
Several leading educationists, journalists, writers, social activists and others will participate in the discussions and interact with students and other members of the audience.
�A commemorative volume on Bhupenda will also be released in the function, to be attended by his son, Tej Hazarika, and other family members, besides members of the BHF,� added the statement, adding that the objective of the BHF is to promote research and discourses on the academic contributions of Dr Bhupen Hazarika and translate his writings on various topics into leading languages around the globe.
�This discussion forum is the first humble step in this direction by the BHF,� it said.
