GUWAHATI, Dec 9 � Pachim Guwahati College will take on Pragjyotish College in the summit clash of the NEEDS organised inter college cricket tournament for the Premoda Kanta Sarma Trophy. The final is slated for December 11.
In two semifinals played at the Latasil play ground here today, Pachim Guwahati downed Dispur College by six runs in a close encounter while Pragjyotish College earned a facile 67-run victory against Laxmibai National Institute of Physical Education (LNIPE). Put into bat in the first match of the day Pachim Guwahati gathered 114 for 8 in 20-overs and in reply Dispur College was restricted to 108 for 9.
In the second semifinal Pragjyotish boys scored a modest 113 losing all the wckets in 18.2 overs. But the LNIPE batsmen performed poorly and were shot out for a paltry 46 in 16.1 overs.
