GUWAHATI, Jan 4 - The State Level Sports Coaching Camp, organised by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Welfare was inaugurated by the State Sports Minister Naba Kumar Doley at the Sarusajai sports complex here today.
The camp is meant for front ranking athletes of the State where coaching will be imparted in the disciplines of archery, athletics, badminton, boxing, football, hockey, wushu, cycling, taekwondo and weightlifting.
Altogether 320 athletes in all the disciplines have been included for the advanced coaching. Apart from local coaches, national level coaches like � Gopal Krishna Pillai (athletics), SK Pal (boxing), Karippa BJ (hockey), Surjit Singh (badminton), Bimal Krishnamurthy (taekwondo), Subir Dey (football) have been appointed to conduct the 21-day camp.
Director of Sports Pabitra Ram Khound also spoke in the inaugural function.
