CM�s directive on welfare schemes

GUWAHATI, April 10 � Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today directed the departments concerned to simplify the implementation process of the State Government�s welfare schemes.

According to an official press release here, the Chief Minister, who was addressing a meeting on administrative reforms at his office chamber here, also stressed on speedy implementation of the welfare schemes. People must get the benefit of such schemes within the time frames stipulated for completion of execution of such schemes, he said.

The Chief Minister also directed establishment of a centre to help the people coming from different parts of the State to know the progress of the schemes connected with them within a definite time frame.

The Chief Minister told the officials that he himself would review the progress of the execution of the welfare schemes with the officers concerned.

He directed the departments concerned to initiate the necessary administrative measures for expediting the process of execution of the welfare schemes of the Government.

The meeting was attended, among others, by senior government officials.
