CM to lay foundation of three new projects at Nalbari

NALBARI, March 18 - The foundation stones of three ambitious projects of Nalbari town will be laid by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on three different occasions on March 21. Besides, the Chief Minister will also inaugurate a digital library and a RCC bridge over Pagladia river on the same day.

Addressing a press conference held at district BJP office on Friday, the MLA of Nalbari LAC Ashok Sarma said that the Chief Minister will first lay the foundation stone of a road from Sandha connecting NH31 to Barkura through Nalbari town to be constructed at a cost of Rs 31 core under CRF head. The 6.23-kilometre-long road has two RCC bridges. Thereafter, the Chief Minister will lay the foundation stone of a guest house of Nalbari Sri Sri Harimandir at the mandir premises. The State Government has provided a sum of Rs one crore to Harimandir to construct the guest house. The foundation stone of a railway flyover will also be laid by Sonowal. A sum of Rs 49 core has been sanctioned for the proposed flyover under CRF.

Sonowal will also visit Nalbari College and formally inaugurate the digital library to be constructed at the college. Finally, he will inaugurate the RCC bridge over Pagladia river at Kamarkuchi ghat under Barkshetri constituency. The MLA further informed that the Chief Minister will be accompanied by PWD minister Parimal Suklabadya and Industry and Commerce minister Chandra Mohan Patowary, among others.
