CM to apprise Modi on flood damage

GUWAHATI, Aug 16 - Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today left for New Delhi to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and apprise him of preliminary damage of the second wave of flood that lashed the State.

Sonowal will also discuss on the probable modus operandi for a permanent solution of flood and erosion, besides requesting Modi to constitute an inter-ministerial team headed by a Cabinet minister to visit the flood-ravaged State.
