CM takes a break from hectic schedule

GUWAHATI, April 16 - After hectic days of campaigning, Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi is taking a break by unwinding in his own inimitable way by visiting market places, shopping malls, dropping in at friends� and well-wishers� homes, meeting people at his official residence, teeing off at a golf course and hopping from one Bihutoli to the other.

Despite inclement weather the Chief Minister went to the Narengi Golf Course around 8 am today dressed in casuals, teeing off for quite some time.

After returning home, Gogoi took some time off to interact with young promising singer of Indian Idol Junior 2 fame Nahid Afrin and her family, who turned up to wish Rongali Bihu greetings to him. The Chief Minister discussed the finer nuances of singing with the singing sensation and wished her a bright future. Gogoi had a photo shoot with her and her family and even posed for selfie.

At the Latasil Bihutoli on Wednesday, Chief Minister Gogoi grooved to the beat of dhol, pepa and gagana and played the dhol, much to the delight of the dancers and audience alike. At his friends� and relatives� residences, he sat for hours reminiscing about the good old days, savouring the pithas made on special occasions like Bihu.

On Thursday Gogoi went to the Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport to see the royal couple Prince William and Princess Kate off after their two-day visit to Assam.

On Sunday, the Chief Minister, accompanied by his wife Dolly Gogoi, will be visiting his home district Jorhat to spend time with his relatives and close friends. He is likely to return on Tuesday before taking off to Delhi on Friday where he will stay for a couple of days, said an official release.
