GUWAHATI, Oct 6 - Communal harmony and peace are the prerequisites to development, said Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi. In a statement here, Gogoi said that certain forces are trying to disturb communal harmony in the country, which will seriously affect development.
Gogoi pointed out that though Prime Minister Narendra Modi had been visiting different countries, seeking foreign investment, his efforts would not succeed till the Government of India took effective steps to improve the overall law-and-order situation.
