TEZPUR, April 12 - The British royal couple, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Prince William and Kate Middleton, who are visiting Tezpur and Kaziranga National Park landed at the Tezpur airport at around 5.45 pm today. Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi received and welcomed them. The royal couple accompanied by officials from the British High Commission stayed at the Tezpur airport for about 30 minutes and interacted with the Chief Minister and the officials of the Assam Government.
They also enjoyed the Assamese Bihu dance presented by a special Bihu group and tasted varieties of Assamese ethnic delicacies. Later, they moved towards Kaziranga National Park where the Dipholu River Resort is ready to welcome them.
