Referring to the Uttarakhand tragedy, he also appreciated the role played by ITBP jawans during the crucial moments. He also stated that Rs 10 lakh each would be given to the ITBP jawan from Assam, who lost his life during the rescue operations in Uttarakhand, and the jawan from Udalguri, who was killed in a recent militant attack in Jammu & Kashmir.
