CM for action against vandals

NEW DELHI, Nov 26 � Police officers failing to check All Assam Students� Union (AASU) activists from indulging in vandalism, now faces immediate suspension, with Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi warning of stern disciplinary measures.

Reacting to the face-off between AASU and Vishal Mega Mart, the Chief Minister said strict instructions have been issued to the police to take action against vandals.

Gogoi said he has issued stern warning to the police that such actions would not be tolerated in the future. He has called for a report from the police over the number of incidents.

The Chief Minister said he was dismayed by the action of the agitators who indulged in vandalism and inaction of the police.
