CM felicitates Proneeta

GUWAHATI, Oct 24 - Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today felicitated Dance India Dance (DID) Season 5 champion Proneeta Swargiary at his official residence at Khanapara, according to a press release.

Chief Minister Gogoi, while felicitating Proneeta, said her achievement has not only brought laurels to the State but also inspired and motivated the young generation.

Proneeta thanked the people of the State, audiences, well-wishers and media for extending support to her, which helped her bag the coveted honour at the national level. She attributed her success to the inspiration of her parents, her dance guru Punit Pathak and hard work.

The DID champion was accompanied by her parents. Dolly Gogoi, wife of the Chief Minister was also present on the occasion.

It may be recalled that the 22-year-old walked away with the coveted �Sunheri Taqdeer Ki Topi� title after beating Nirmal Tamang from Nepal and Jodhpur boy Sahil Adaniya in the grand finale.

The dance reality show was judged by Gaiti Siddiqui, Punit Pathak and Mudassar Khan along with grandmaster Mithun Chakraborty.

The grand finale was attended by former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who attended the episode to promote her recently released film Jazbaa.
