Civil service aspirants attend leadership event

GUWAHATI, March 29 - A leadership envisioning monthly event �Manthan� based on the topic �My Journey to Indian Administrative Service�� was organised at the Guwahati Campus of the North East Institute of Advanced Studies (Northeast-IAS) today.

Chief guest MGVK Bhanu, Additional Chief Secretary of the Assam Government, interacted with civil services aspirants during the event. Manthan is a monthly event of the Northeast-IAS, where aspirants get an opportunity to interact with civil servants and other distinguished people.

Addressing the gathering, Bhanu shared his journey of becoming an IAS officer and serving the people of the nation. He motivated the civil services aspirants to focus and take the preparation as a challenge to crack the examination.

He also praised the Northeast-IAS where more than 273 students are undergoing training for the Civil Services Examination.

KC Das, founder director of the academy, urged the youths to avail the scholarship provided by the Northeast-IAS. On the occasion, a 24x7 library was also opened. This is the first-of-its-kind in the region where all competitive books and other publications including magazines and newspapers are available.
