GUWAHATI, Aug 12 - The Guwahati Municipal Karmi Sangha has threatened to resort to an indefinite strike from August 20 if its demand for the provision of pension to workers is not met at the earliest.
The Sangha has been demanding pension and other benefits for workers for a long time. It has also resorted to agitational programmes in this regard.
Around 2,000 employees of the municipal corporation took part in a protest programme on Tuesday.
