GUWAHATI, Jan 16 � The Assam State Election Commission today rescheduled the election to 74 Municipal Boards and Town Committees of the State to February 9 from the earlier announced date of February 10.
According to a notification issued today, the date of re-poll and counting of votes has been fixed on February 11 and 12 respectively.
The change in schedule has been effected to avoid any impact of the Delhi Assembly polls where counting of votes will start on February 10.
