City NCC cadet shines at all-India level

GUWAHATI, Feb 26 � Cadet Pragun Bali, a student of BCom 2nd semester of KC Das Commerce College has accomplished remarkable achievements in the NCC at all-India level. He was the only cadet from Assam to be selected for marching on the Rajpath on January 26, 2012.

He represented the North Eastern Region (NER) in a number of cultural events and competitions. He was selected as the best cadet of the NER and has been selected to represent Indian youth in multi-countries Youth Exchange Programme (YEP).

Cadet Pragun Bali was also selected to be the master of ceremonies at VVIP pro-gramme that included the Vice President of India, Minister of the State for Defence, Marshal of the Indian Air Force along with all the three chiefs of Army, Navy and Air Force� and was awarded bronze medal at national level for master of ceremonies. Due to his remarkable performance he was among the meritorious cadets who were invited to the Rashtrapati Bhavan, PM�s house and Army House in New Delhi, a statement from PRO Defence mentioned.

He was among the first five best cadets of India in the standings in the Republic Day Camp (RDC) of NCC.
