City CCC lift Golap Hazarika Trophy

GUWAHATI, April 18 - Host City Cricket Coaching Centre�s A team annexed the Golap Hazarika Trophy defeating Cricket Club of Dibrugarh Academy by a resounding 111-run margin.

In the one-sided final of the 13th All Assam Golap Hazarika Memorial Inter District Cricket Coaching Centre/Academy Cricket Tournament at the Dispur Parade Ground, City batsmen amassed 268 for eight in the allotted 40 overs. Karif Ali (71 off 76 balls, 4x10, 6x1) and Debanuj Goswami (59 off 59 balls, 4x4, 6x3) were their leading contributors.

The Dibrugarh boys found the target too big to chase and finally were all out for 157 in 36.3 overs.

The individual prize winners were � MoM: Debanuj Goswami; Best fielder: Ravishek Tiwari (City CCC); Best wicketkeeper: Ankit Singh (City CCC); Best bowler: Nishant Singhania (CC Dibrugarh); Best batsman: Karif Ali (City CCC); MoS: Dibakar Saikia (CC Dibrugarh). Promising Players: Bishal Roy (Kokrajhar CA), Rupam Hazarika (CCCC B), Juned Zaman (NFRSA), Ankit Medhi (CCCC A).
