City CCC emerge champions

GUWAHATI, June 2 � City Cricket Coaching Centre clinched the title in the Anna Matin All India U-17 T-20 Cricket Tournament.

In the one-sided truncated final played at the Judges� Field here today, City CCC outplayed White Feather Cricket Academy by 83 runs.

Riding on some good knocks by Romario Sarma (42), Debashis Kashyap (22) and Rahul Hazarika (21) City gathered 139 for six in 14 overs and skittled out the opponents to 57 in 9.3 overs. Bastab Hazarika was White Feather�s top scorer with 17 while man-of-the-final Bhaskar Bora took six wickets for seven runs.

Bhaskar was also adjudged best bowler of the tournament while Bastab Hazarika received the man-of-the-tournament award. Former Ranji players Zakaria Zuffri and Gautam Hazarika were the chief guests in the closing function.
