GUWAHATI, Dec 27 � City Cricket Coaching Centre B team clinched the title in the Ankurjyoti Club organised Ankurjyoti Challenge U-14 Cricket Tournament for the Aswini Rajbongshi Trophy.
In the summit clash at the Latasil playground here today, City CCC boys trounced Nalbari Vivekananda Kendriya Vidyalaya convincingly by 66 runs.
Piling up a commendable total of 179 for 8 in 25 overs, City boys skittled out the opponent for 113 in 23.4 overs. For City Surinder Singh (56) and Aman Sohil (52) cracked half centuries.
Surinder was later declared as man-of-the-final while Aman got the man-of-the-series award.
Subham Jha (BBC), Azahar Ali (Ankurjyoti) and Sanjeeb Rajak (Ankurjyoti) were adjudged as best batsman, best bowler and best fielder respectively.
