GUWAHATI, Feb 18 � With a deserving four-wicket victory against Navajyoti Club in the first semifinal, City Cricket Club cruised into the final of the Jugal Kishore Newatia Cricket Tournament.
Restricting the opponent to 196 in 38.2 overs, City CC hit up 197 losing six wickets in 36.3 overs. Opting to bat first, Navajyoti rode on Nipon Deka�s 42 to reach the respectable total. Bikash Chetry and Hrishikesh Tamuly contributed 28 each while Raj Agarwal was the leading wicket taker for City with three victims.
Man-of-the-match Romario Sharma cracked a 61-ball 51 and Bastav Hazarika added 35 which virtually enabled City CC in reaching the target comfortably.
