City CC edge past GTC

GUWAHATI, Dec 16 - City Cricket Club recorded a thrilling one-run victory against Gauhati Town Club in the Ankurjyoti Challenge Cricket Tournament for the Ratan Lal Singhania and Mohini Devi Singhania Trophy.

At the Judges� Field here today, City CC scored 163 losing nine wickets in their stipulated 35 overs. Debashis Saikia was their top scorer with 64 off 72 balls.

Chasing the tough target the GTC batsmen fell one run short as they were all for 162 in 34.4 overs despite Simanta Neogi�s 39-ball 51.
