In another part of the city, the Dispur Baptist Church is also holding a Christmas special service at 10 am tomorrow. In the evening a special musical performance will be organised. On December 31, Watchnight Service will begin at 11 pm, and the next day prayer service will be held.

The church at Don Bosco School premises has also seen a good presence of the faithful, and some of them have come from the outskirts of the city. Midnight mass will be held from 11 am tonight and programmes for tomorrow begin at 8.30 am.

The Christmas spirit of warmth and camaraderie is not restricted to Christians alone, and people from other religious denominations will observe the festivities in various ways.

Jyoti Sarma, a young mother, hopes to attend a special service, as she has prayers to say. She plans to take her two sons to Christ Church, so that they too can participate in an act of faith.
