Chinese goods seized

GUWAHATI, April 22 - Acting on a tip-off, the Hatigaon police raided a rented house at Anupam Path and recovered smuggled Chinese goods worth over Rs 2 lakh.

The products recovered include mixer grinders, LED TVs, mobile power banks, gas stoves, water filters, etc. Two persons, namely Imraan Malik and Ayas Mohammed from Uttar Pradesh, were apprehended in this connection.

�A group of people from UP is involved in repackaging of cheap Chinese goods found in Delhi�s Chandni Chowk and selling the same at higher price in markets of the northeastern States, mostly in the interior areas,� Basistha ACP Moushumi Kalita said.
