DIBRUGARH, Jan 2 - Adrija Gohain, a Class VII student of Jatiya Vidyalaya, Chabua, representing Assam in the 27th National Children�s Science Congress-2019 has brought laurels to the State and Dibrugarh district in particular, on being selected amongst the 19 outstanding science projects of the country.
Gohain along with her co-worker Tuhin Phukan carried out a project on �Indigenously prepared natural food colour� under the guidance of Ranumani Dutta of the school. The 27th National Children�s Science Congress-2019, a programme of NCSTC, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, was held at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala from December 27 to 31 on the focal theme � �Science Technology and Innovation for a Clean, Green and Healthy Nation�.
It needs mention here that out of 646 projects presented at the national level, including projects from Gulf and ASEAN countries, 19 projects were chosen as outstanding for this year.
Out of the 19 projects, two were selected from Assam. The other project selected from Assam was presented by child scientist Swastika Gogoi from Nagaon.
The Dibrugarh District Organising Committee, Inspector of Schools, resource persons, evaluators of the district have congratulated Adrija and her co-worker, guide and her mentor Hemanta Phukan for bringing laurels to the State and the district, a released stated.
