NEW DELHI, Feb 28 - The Centre today clarified that it has not signed any final accord with the NSCN(I-M) though a framework agreement has been sealed.
The issue figured at a meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Home Affairs, which was chaired by former Home Minister P Chidambaram today. Officials of the Home Ministry, briefing the members of the Committee, gave a broad account of the framework agreement, which has been kept under tight wraps. The �Framework Agreement� between the Centre and the NSCN(IM) was signed on August 3, 2015.
Home Ministry officials explained that a final accord has not been signed as the Centre proposed to take along all Naga groups and the concerned State governments of Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam.
