Central team reviews ceasefire ground rules with NSCN (I-M)

DIMAPUR, June 8 - The Government of India and the NSCN (I-M), during a meeting of the Ceasefire Ground Rules Review Committee at the Chumukedima police complex here today, suggested promoting a more conducive �ground environment� while upholding the progress of sincere talks following the landmark agreement signed between the two parties on August 3, 2015. This was stated in a joint release issued by the �ministry of information and publicity,� NSCN (I-M) after the meeting.

Both parties described the meeting as courteous and reciprocal.

Rina Mitra, Special Secretary (Internal Security), Ministry of Home Affairs, led the 11-member Central representatives, while �Gen� (retd) VS Atem headed the 13-member NSCN (I-M) team in the meeting.
