NEW DELHI, April 18 - The Centre on Tuesday extended the ceasefires with two NSCN factions. Official sources said that the ceasefire that is in operation between the Government of India and the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN-R) and the one with the NSCN-NK have been extended by a year, with effect from April 28, 2017.

The ceasefire was signed by Joint Secretary (Northeast) Satyendra Garg on behalf of the Government of India and Toshi Longkumer and Imlongnukshi Chang on behalf of the NSCN-R and Jack Jimomi, supervisor, GPRN-NSCN, on behalf of the NSCN-NK.
