NEW DELHI, April 16 � In a bid to curb crimes in Guwahati, Assam Government has proposed to cover the city with CCTVs.
Some recent schemes taken up by the State Government are computer-aided police response service (Dial 100) and CCTV coverage of Guwahati city, Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi informed. �We hope to expand these facilities in the State capital and also provide similar facilities in other districts,� he said.
Forensic science is indispensable to scientific investigation. The State Forensic Laboratory in Assam serves all seven North Eastern States and deserves special allocation.
