CCTV cameras in NFR stations soon

NEW DELHI, July 12 - Reacting promptly, Minister of State for Railways Rajen Gohain today ordered installation of CCTV cameras in all stations under the jurisdiction of the Northeast Frontier Railways (NFR).

Talking to newsmen here, Gohain said he has instructed NFR authorities to install CCTV cameras in all train stations under its jurisdiction.

It may be mentioned that on July 9, the body of a university girl student was found in a toilet of a coach meant for differently-abled when the Dibrugarh-Rangiya Kamakhya Express reached Simaluguri junction in the morning. The very next day, the body of a woman was recovered from the toilet of a coach reserved for differently-abled in the Lalgarh-bound Avadh Assam Express at Mariani junction.
