NEW DELHI/CHENNAI, Dec 20 � Tightening the noose in 2G spectrum scam probe, CBI today summoned ex-telecom minister A Raja and corporate lobbyist Niira Radia for questioning while former bureaucrat Pradip Baijal was quizzed again, reports PTI.
The CBI issued notices to Raja, who is now in Chennai, and Radia asking them to appear before the agency for questioning. It has however not set any date amid speculation that the questioning may take place in next couple of days.
After the news of CBI summons for Raja became public, Raja was seen outside Apollo hospital in Chennai.
An agitated Raja rubbished reports that he was trying to evade the CBI summons by going to a hospital.
�Some media people want to tell that I am avoiding arrest and that I want to take shelter in a hospital. What nonsense are you talking. Does it mean to say I should not go to my doctor. It was a matter of 10 minutes. I met the doctor and came back,� Raja told reporters tonight while ticking of a reporter who asked was he trying to avoid the summons by going to a hospital.
