TEZPUR, Oct 6 - A team of CBI raided the residence of an Intelligence Bureau official at Gamiri under Helem PS in the morning today, a source informed. The six-member CBI team raided the residence of Tridib Nayan Basistha. However, the police officials of Biswanath Chariali expressed their ignorance about the raid.
The source further alleged that the raid was conducted on an allegation of bribery for providing employment to the youths. This is the second raid at a Central government official�s residence in the district in a week.
During last week, one Lashman Bhuyan, an employee of MES, Solmara was apprehended by the CBI after a raid in his residence at Kamarchuburi under Tezpur PS over the allegation of taking bribe from job aspirants of the district.
