GUWAHATI, June 11 � Ikramul Hussain, Spl Judge, CBI, today convicted CP Parate, Dy Superintending Engineer (P), ONGC, Nazira and sentenced him to four years� rigorous imprisonment and directed him to pay fine of Rs 10,000.
CBI had registered a case against Parate for submitting forged TA reimbursement bill, hostel bills, bills claiming daily allowances etc. CBI�s specific charge was he had obtained pecuniary advantage to the tune of Rs 60,397 from ONGC by corrupt and illegal means.
