Cash looted in broad daylight

MANGALDAI, May 7 - A bag with Rs 1 lakh in cash was reportedly snatched from one Jitendra Mohan Saha (60) by miscreants when he was coming out of the Central Bank of India, Mangaldai branch situated at LNB Road and was about to proceed towards his residence at Tengabari area of the town.

The incident occurred at around 1 pm and the victim raised a hue and cry and people present immediately caught hold of one of the miscreants. However, the other miscreant managed to escape with the looted cash. The miscreant nabbed has been identified as one Bikash Das ( 34), a resident of Biswanath Chariali.
