Car lifter arrested in murder case

DIPHU, April 4 - One Faijul Rahman was arrested by the police here on Monday in connection with abduction and murder of one Devanand Kr. Sah of Dimapur in Borlangfer PS case no 12/2018 U/S 302/379/34 IPC. Sah�s body was found on March 17 morning on the Diphu-Lumding Road.

Rahman had managed to evade arrest but was finally nabbed by the police here on Monday after a thorough and in-depth investigation under the close supervision of Deputy SP Muzzafar Hussain, Karbi Anglong Police. Rahman was arrested from Dimapur.

During interrogation, the accused Faijul Rahman said that though he originally hailed from Murajhar of Hojai district, he was temporarily living at Burma Camp, Dimapur. Hussain informed that during regular police checking at Dhansiri outpost area under Diphu police station another stolen Alto car bearing registration number AR-01D/3376 was recovered. The driver of this stolen car, Zakir Hussain could not produce any documents in support of the vehicle. Later, he was arrested and forwarded to Diphu court. Faijul Rahman was also forwarded to the court on Tuesday.
