AIZAWL, Sept 13 � In a joint operation Mizoram Excise and Narcotics department officials and personnel of the Assam Rifles seized 47 kgs of ganja (cannabis) at Sesawng village, about 50 km from here.
The department officials said three persons including two women were arrested in this connection.
Two accused from New Vervek village and one from Sesawng village were booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
The contraband, smuggled from neighbouring Manipur, was worth around Rs 2 lakh in the local market. � PTI
