Candidates gear up for polls at Jagiroad LAC

JAGIROAD, April 6 - The political party candidates, including the Congress and the BJP, and Independent candidates are gearing up the Assembly polls with intensive campaigning in 79-Jagiroad (SC) LAC under Morigaon district which is going to polls in the second phase on April 11.

Pasting of posters, meetings, personal approaches to the voters are being done by all the aspirants in the constituency. The candidates in the fray are: Sitting MLA Bibekananda Doloi (Congress), Piyush Hazarika (BJP), Putul Das ( AIUDF), Dilip Das (Trinamool Congress), Surjya Kr Das (LDP), Sukanta Mazumdar (BGP) and Mamoni Das (Independent).
