Call to fight designs of anti-national forces

By Staff Reporter

GUWAHATI, Nov 25 - Senior journalist DN Chakravartty, while commenting on the prevailing debate on intolerance, today said that the vitiating situation and asphyxiating atmosphere currently generated in the country by a coterie of commissioned intellectuals, artistes, academicians, political card holders, could be likened with the poisonous atmosphere prevailing in undivided India during the tumultuous years from 1939 to 1946 when the Muslim League of Md Ali Jinnah and the communists of different hues joined hands with the British rulers to frustrate the gigantic battle for freedom launched by the patriotic section of the Indian people under the leadership of Gandhi to break the shackles of foreign domination.

Chakravartty said when one lakh Indian patriots courted arrest and thousands embraced martyrdom, 75 per cent of Indian Muslims together with the communists sided with the foreigners to consolidate the imperialist rule over India. While Jinnah managed to carve out Pakistan with 25 per cent of Indias territory, the unpatriotic communists were lying low for some years before siding with the Chinese invaders in 1962 to crush Indian nationhood, he added.

Chakravartty said that history had repeated once again and once again the remnants of the old Muslim League harbouring in different parts of the country in league with the new incarnation of the votaries of Karl Marx and the paid agents of foreign anti-Indian elements are now waging their last crusade against the nationhood of a resurgent India.

Chakravartty added that those elements which were gathering momentum under the sunshine of the notorious Congress rule were now unleashing their poisonous ammunition to erode the very structure of Indian nationhood.

Just like Jinnah cried hoarse that Islam was in danger, in a similar vein, the hydra-headed monster of new Indo-probia elements are now crying from the rooftops that everything has been lost and that their country is going to be ruined under the command of Narendra Modi, he said.

Chakravartty said that it was beyond ones comprehension how megastars of the Indian film industry, wallowing in wealth and harvesting pelf and power in free India, would suddenly discover that India had become a veritable hell and a horrible place for Muslims.

But these self-centered and ungrateful film-stars have forgotten that 90 lakh East Pakistani and Bangladeshi Muslims had crossed over to the so-called Hindu India after partition and over three lakh Pakistani pass-holders had vanished from Indian territory. Aamir Khan and the other two Khans whom Hindu India patronised over the decades should know that with 22 countries in the world with 90 per cent Muslim population, nine countries with 80 per cent Muslims and 54 countries in the world with over 50 per cent Muslim population, the bogie of Islam being in danger is not only false but dangerous and obnoxious, he said.

Chakravartty said that in this hour of national crisis, every patriotic Indian must arise from slumber and stand united to frustrate the sinister designs of all anti-national forces.
