Call to address issues of SSA teachers

By CORRESPONDENT

DIMAPUR, May 12 - A government primary teachers association of Nagaland has sought immediate intervention of the State government to address the grievances and issues of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan(SSA) teachers of the State. The SSA teachers of the State have been on a pen-down strike for past two weeks.

The All Nagaland Government Primary Teachers Association (ANGPTA), in a release, stated the fractured journey of the academic session 2018-19 of stakeholders in the pursuit of providing quality education to the children drew its attention.

It said the fractured journey began with the delay in disbursement of textbooks, Nagaland Assembly election process, delayed HSLC and HSSLC examinations 2018 and now the ongoing pen-down agitations.

The association did not rule out the chances of more agitations by different aggrieved teachers in the immediate future.
