SILCHAR, Dec 2 - In a bid to sensitise and unite the Hindus of the country in general and Barak Valley in particular, Hindu Sanghati, a platform for the Hindus organised an open meeting at Narsingtola here on Saturday.
Cadres of the organisation presented a demonstration of martial arts on the occasion. Along with top leaders from Hailakandi, Pantu Chanda and Sanjib Nath from Cachar district also took part in the open meeting.
Founder Tapan Ghosh said: �it is high time the Hindus are brought under one platform with an apolitical approach. In the present political scenario, over dependence on the elected representatives might prove costly for the Hindus.�
