GUWAHATI, Nov 14 - Prof RC Deka, former Director AIIMS and presently VC of Assam Down Town University (ADTU) has appealed to surgeons to be compassionate and ethical in their healthcare practices. He also underlined the need for research for better care towards patients and for sensitising the public on preventing cancer through vaccination.
Prof Deka was speaking as the chief guest to recipients of the degree of Fellow of International College of Surgeons at a convocation held at the ADTU during the 62nd conference of ICS India Section on November 13.
