GUWAHATI, Jan 29 - Busu Dima, a festival of the Dimasa Kacharis, was celebrated in the city on Monday, along with several other parts of Assam and Nagaland, stated a press release issued here today.
The programme was organised at Mandu House, Lokhra, by the Greater Guwahati Dimasa Kachari Association in collaboration with the Dimajik Hasom Guwahati and the Dimasa student community.
After the flag-hoisting ceremony by the president of the Greater Guwahati Dimasa Kachari Association, a few prominent members of the community addressed the gathering.
The even concluded with traditional sports and dance of the Dimasa Kacharis.
The audience present at the programme also participated in the Bai Dima dance.
