SILCHAR, March 29 - Sensation prevailed in Silchar after burglars broke into the Silchar Polytechnic branch of UCO Bank on Monday night and escaped after looting some vital merchandise.
According to Ramkrishna Singh, when the employees opened the bank on Tuesday, they saw that the back room of the bank was vandalised with CCTVs broken and hard disk was found missing. Also, some vital files were badly ransacked and some were even stolen away. �One desktop computer has been looted but the burglars could not open the locker of the bank,� the branch manager maintained.
