GUWAHATI, May 16 � Over 20 namghars of Panjabari area will observe Buddha Purnima Barsabah with a daylong programme at the central namghar at Namghar Path tomorrow.
The day�s programme marking the celebration of the Maha Parinirvan of Lord Buddha will begin with prabhat kirtan by woman devotees and will include nam prasanga from different namghars of Panjabari.
Gopikanta Mahanta and Dr Surendra Mohan Mahanta will lead the naam prasanga while Chandra Kanta Baruah and Haricharan Kalita will recite the Bhagawat. Dr Lalit Kumar Baruah, secretary of the Barsabah committee, has requested the general public to attend the occasion.
