GUWAHATI, Feb 20 � Bud Cricket Club have set-up the summit clash with Navajyoti Club in the River Rine Club organised Servo 21st Guwahati Challenge Trophy All Assam Prize Money Cricket Tournament for the Balabhadra Oja and Bhabendra Ch Pathak Trophy.

Bud Cricket Club today defeated Navarang Club by five wickets in the second semifinal played at the Judges� Field here.

Navarang Club were asked to bat first but the batsmen failed to tackle Bud bowlers � Dhiraj Goswami and Sarupam Purkayastha � and were all out for 143 in 37.4 overs. Rajib Kalita (42), Jyotiraditya Chetia (38) and Kaushik Oja (24) were the only notable contributors for Navarang. Dheeraj and Sarupam came out with four wickets each.

The Bud batsmen did not have to face any difficulty and reached the winning target in 30.1 overs in the 40-over match. During the course Bud lost five wickets.

Kaushik Giri remained unbeaten with 55 off 65 balls. He hit six boundaries and one six. Roshan Basfor and Biplab Saikia contributed 25 and 22 respectively. Dheeraj Goswami was picked for the man-of-the-match award.

Brief scores: Navarang 143 (Rajib Kalita 42, Jyotiraditya Chetia 38, Kaushik Oja 24, Dhiraj Goswami 4/23, Sarupam Purkayastha 4/29). Bud CC 144/5 (Kaushik Giri 55, Roshan Basfor 25, Biplab Saikia 22, Rituparna Phatoali 2/28).
